Go, and Make Disciples, be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea (Forest Hills) and Samaria, (Pittsburgh ) and to the ends of the earth." (world-wide mission)- Acts 1:8
Forest Hills Presbyterian Church participates in mission work within the community and around the world. Most activities and programs are discerned and performed through (but not limited to) our Discipleship, Mission and Outreach committee, our Deacons, and Women Of The Word Bible study group.
A few of the programs are:
Operation Christmas Child in Partnership with Samaritan's Purse
Shoeboxes for children filled with gifts of school supplies, toys and personal items.
In 2025, FHPC collected items to provide 150 boxes!

Greeting Card Ministry
Homemade Cards with words of encouragement and with gift cards enclosed are provided to local First Responders
Church members and friends of the congregation select a Forest Hills first responder to pray for, write a note of support and provide a gift card for the first responder to use towards a lunch or snack.

Christmas Cards To Active Military
Sending a note of support, prayer, and gratitude to an active service person spending Christmas away from home.
Dozens of cards are written and mailed out each year!

Deacons Food Pantry
Food for community members in need.
If you are in need, we are ready to help! Please contact the church.

Deacons Food Baskets
In conjunction with Woodland Hills High School, we provide food baskets to needy families 2x a year.
Our Deacons organize this and members and friends of our congregation provide the basket items to support 16 family baskets of holiday staples two times per year.
